BrightonMusic is pleased to announce “Claim That Tune”, an addition to our annual Homespun concert specifically for students in elementary, middle or high school.

Information:

Students must submit a melody (minimum 8 measures; no maximum), with or without added parts, in any of the following formats: .mid, mp3, pdf, jpg, Musescore, Finale, Sibelius, or Encore files. Entries may be emailed to katscall@gmail.com or geoff.lehr@gmail.com .

Handwritten entries may be scanned and sent as pdfs or may be mailed to BrightonMusic Orchestra c/o Kat McCusker, 10517 Humboldt St., Northglenn, CO 80233.

Entries must be received between June 1, 2015 and November 25, 2015 by either mail or email. Please include name, age, phone number, address, and email address.

Age Groups: 7-11 yrs. (Elementary)
12-14 yrs, (Middle School)
15-18 yrs. (High School)

At least one melody from each age group will be selected to be orchestrated by BrightonMusic for inclusion in the Homespun Celebration Concert to be held in February 2016. Winners will be notified by email/phone/mail and will be invited to attend the Homespun concert to be recognized for their compositions.

Students or their parents whose submissions are selected must grant BrightonMusic, Kat McCusker and Geoffrey Lehr non-exclusive and royalty-free permission to arrange and perform submitted works for the purposes of the Homespun concert.
